The SACS Study Area boundary was derived by dissolving the SACS Planning Reach boundary. The SACS Planning reaches were defined by three input datasets: 1. The Nature Conservancy Ecoregions—boundaries of areas that The Nature Conservancy has prioritized for conservation, 2. State boundaries 3. Maximum inland limit of Category 5 storm surge inundation represented by the NOAA Sea, Lake, and Overland Surges from Hurricanes (SLOSH) model.
