description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 11 0;"><SPAN>Within each state and territory, focus areas were selected from identified high-risk areas. Focus Area selection also considered the physical environment (e.g., back bay, tidally influenced riverine, ocean front) to represent a variety of environments and demonstrate the variety of actions that can be implemented to manage risk. Focus Area Action Strategies (FAAS) were developed with stakeholders using SACS products and other resources. Several large focus areas were subdivided into sub-focus areas. Inputs to define SACS focus area boundaries included census boundaries of various geographic scale as well as areas defined by the USACE District Project Delivery Teams (PDT), with coordination from stakeholders. </SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
