Description: This layer displays the geographic service areas for mitigation banks tracked in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Regulatory In-lieu Fee and Bank Information Tracking System (RIBITS). Each polygon represents a unique mitigation bank service area, defined as the geographic area within which a bank's credits may be used to provide compensatory mitigation for authorized impacts to aquatic resources. The layer includes information on available mitigation credits, allowing users to identify banks that may be eligible to offset permitted impacts within a given location. Service areas have been dissolved to remove overlapping or duplicate geometries while preserving associated credit availability and bank attributes. This dataset is intended to support regulatory review, mitigation planning, environmental analysis, and public access to mitigation banking information. Credit availability and service area boundaries are derived from RIBITS and are subject to change as bank instruments are amended or credits are debited and released.
